Dr. Piyush Krishnakumar Khanna
MS (General Surgery), FMAS — Chief & Senior Laparoscopic Surgeon at Shree Mahavir Hospital, Surat, serving patients continuously since 1991.

Three decades in one operating theatre
Few surgeons in Surat can point to the continuity Dr. Piyush Khanna has. Since 1991 he has practised at Shree Mahavir Hospital — an institution caring for the city since 1978 — building, year after year, the kind of surgical judgement that only long experience gives.
He holds an MS in General Surgery and an FMAS fellowship in minimal-access (laparoscopic) surgery. His day-to-day practice spans the full range of general surgery — hernia, gallbladder stones, appendicitis, piles and fistula, hydrocele — with particular depth in complex gastrointestinal surgery and revision surgery: the difficult second operations that call for a steady, experienced hand.
His manner with patients is unhurried and honest. A clear diagnosis, a plain explanation of whether an operation is truly needed, and — when it is — the least-invasive route that suits the patient. Outside the theatre he is an avid marathon runner, a finisher at the Tata Mumbai and Adani Ahmedabad marathons; the discipline shows in his surgery.
